McKinley Rose Garden

Things to DoOn a recent gorgeous afternoon in Sacramento, we decided to take a break and stop by the McKinley Rose Garden. We have always had a love for roses and the prospect of being delighted by the colors and smells of an array of these beauties was enough for us to make a special trip down H Street in East Sacramento.
The park features over 1,200 rose plants and lots of wonderful areas to stroll through, admire, and smell. The aroma of rose and the sweet smell of blossoms really do fill the air here. We took our time meandering through the different walkways and under arbors of climbing roses. It was delightful.
We also thought it would be a great place for photos if you are doing an engagement shoot or wanted to get some nice family photos.
Tip: The roses are typically in bloom from March - May, but the park is still a nice place to visit year-round.
